Personal Training
My approach to personal training is highly individualized and respects all of the factors that affect how someone moves and why. Our bodies take on our life experiences and there are many ways to improve function and form with evidence-based training that is playful, explorative and effective. The process of exploring the possibilities for your future capacity while acknowledging your bodies history and unique anatomy is a joy to me.

*all attendees of small group training and classes need to do a 30 minute complimentary assessment prior to joining a class or group.
REMOTE COACHING
For people who either do not live in the D.C. area, or who can’t train in person due to scheduling or lifestyle, remote coaching can be a wonderful way to have detailed, personalized coaching with the accountability and watchful eye of a coach supporting them.
Prior to remote coaching beginning, an assessment is performed online or in person. Once I establish your current fitness level, mobility, strength, coordination and familiarity with exercises, I can begin to send you weekly training.
Each Sunday you receive an email from the app that I use. Each day of your training (number of days determined based on your goals, and fitness level) a series of exercises, each with a thumbnail video link lasting 15-20 seconds, demonstrates the movement to you. I share the number of sets, reps, and weight that should be used and any important cues or things to watch for.
As you perform the ‘homework’, I receive real time messages with your shared feedback about your experience including any videos you choose to share with me so that I can provide feedback, and encouragement.
Each week the training progresses based on your adherence and fitness improvements.

Yoga inspired strength Training
As an ex competitive gymnast and aspiring yoga teacher, my long history of practice in yoga merges with my understanding of anatomy, proper form, mechanics and creativity to merge the world of yoga with strength training. I enjoy using angles and geometry rather than only external weight to improve durability, resilience, strength, mobility and freedom in these sessions.
These classes are held online.
Nutrition counseling
I am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia Teacher’s College. I help people improve the nutrient density in their food choices, as well as guide people to improve body composition. I am skilled at helping people gain muscle, lose body fat, and generally improve their health and well-being thru nutrition changes. I do not promote or believe in diet culture, but I believe that sensible changes can lead to a healthier, and happier person.
